Waste Transfer Station, Baloo Drive, Bangor

Provision of full Mechanical and Electrical services for the new Waste Transfer Station designed to compact household and commercial waste for onward transport. The facility will be the most advanced facility of it's kind in Ireland and incorporating cutting edge technology within the centre for the removal of dust and smells making it one of the cleanest air facilities in the UK.
The design includes renewable energy sources, such as wind turbines, solar hot water panels and photovoltaic panels.

Royal Victoria Hospital - Minor Works Framework Agreement

AH Design is part of the Design Team appointed by the Royal Group of Hospitals to carry out ongoing minor works on the Royal Hospital site using a Framework Agreement. We have been a member of this team since 2001and were awarded a further 3-year extension to the contract in 2006.
To date we have been involved on approximately 35 projects under this framework agreement and listed below are examples of a few of these projects.
Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Upgrade:
The replacement of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems to various buildings throughout Royal Victoria Hospital, including Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Royal Maternity Hospital and Royal School of Dentistry.

IT Farm:
New dedicated recovery suite for the main IT facilities for the Royal Site
M&E Contract Value £400,000
Project Status Project completed in March 2007
Post Operative Cardiac Recovery Unit:
Extension and refurbishment of the post-operative cardiac recovery unit, services included ventilation, medical gases, IPS/UPS protected circuits and cardiac alarm systems.
M&E Contract Value £130,000
Project Status Project completed in March 2003
Musgrave East & West Wings:
Refurbishment of the East and West wings of this listed building to provide new office accommodation.
M&E Contract Value £300,000
Project Status Works carried out over 3 phases and completed in July 2006.
Isolation Rooms, Level 7:
Provision of new isolation wards including separate ventilation services.
