Founded in June 1994 by Sam Abbas and Anthony Hayes we have been successfully delivering design and consultancy services to our clients in the UK, Ireland and overseas for over 20 years.
Our team offer expertise in Building Services Design, M&E Sustainable Design, Lighting Design, BREEAM Assessments, Energy Performance Certificates, Project Management, Value Engineering, Feasibility Studies and Condition Reports.
AH Design has two partners, Sam Abbas and Anthony Hayes, two senior engineers, Danny McConaghie and William Ross, and two CAD Technicians, Ciaran Francis and Reuben Simpson.
Sam Abbas, Anthony Hayes and Danny McConaghie are Chartered Engineers and William Ross is currently in the process of obtaining his Chartership.
Due to the size and structure of our team, each engineer completes their own design and will see a project through from inception to completion thus ensuring a continuity of service. Our engineers are experienced in using AutoCAD for 2D drawings and Revit MEP Level 2 for 3D drawings in addition to the use of other design software to complete the mechanical and electrical services details for all projects.

Sam co-founded AH Design with Anthony Hayes in the summer of 1994 and has remained Partner since that date. As well as providing the lead role within the Mechanical Services Department Sam has specific responsibility for administering our ISO 9001 Quality Management and 14001 Environmental Management systems.
He is a registered LCEA (Low Carbon Energy Assessor) and provides expert advice on carbon minimization as well as producing and promoting Energy Performance Certificates.
Sam has over 25 years experience in building services across a broad spectrum of project types including numerous projects in the education sector as well as a large portfolio of healthcare and community projects.
Anthony co-founded AH Design in June 1994 along with Sam Abbas and has remained Partner since that date. Anthony provides the lead role within the Electrical Services Department and takes specific responsibility for the practices financial and marketing matters.
He has over 25 years experience in the industry and has a wide range of experience in health, retail, commercial, conservation, community and leisure projects.
Anthony is a registered BREEAM Assessor having completed the appropriate courses in June 2009 and provides expert environmental impact advice.
